Whirling Earth Policies

Dealers:

We invite dealers to inquire for special discounts and terms on bulk orders.

Requests:

We invite one-off special orders and requests. Our customers can be a great source of ideas. If you have a new concept or something in mind that you do not see here, please CONTACT US with your needs. While we cannot exactly duplicate ware from other sources, we can often “interpret” it to make items somewhat similar in size, form, and color. We also make “sets” of table settings of our original patterns. Please allow about 4-to-6 weeks for production. A monetary deposit at time of order may be required for custom items.

Safety:

We will never use any lead, cadmium, or other toxic heavy-metal ingredients in our ware. It is food safe, microwaveable, and dishwasher safe. You and your family can use it with complete confidence that it will not harm your health.

Shipping:

We pack very well and insurance is included during shipment. If an item is broken in shipment, please contact the shipping company to file a claim. We suggest that if you return ship you buy insurance from the shipper.

Taxes:

We do not charge sales tax! We merely collect it for the State of Kansas. All retail sales are taxed at our local rates. Wholesale dealer orders can be tax exempt when proper reseller documentation is provided.

Warranty:

We sincerely want our customers to be happy with, and to get good service from our products. We are proud to offer products of integrity and beauty. We cull all unserviceable seconds when they come out of the kiln, and destroy them. As with any hand-made craft item, some pieces we offer for sale may occasionally have variations that do not affect durability or function, such as slight warping, a glaze pinhole, or a small firing crack on the underside. These variations can often add uniqueness and character to a piece.

We do warranty any piece that is defective from poor workmanship, design, or flaws in the material. Like all pottery and glass, our stoneware has its limitations. If dropped on a hard floor, it WILL break. If a piece is placed on a hot stove burner or grille, or hot bake ware is quenched in cold water or placed on a granite countertop without a trivet, it can fail from thermal shock. Such failures will be considered abuse, and are not refundable.

Your satisfaction is important to us and we'll do everything we can to rectify any disappointing situation. If you are not happy with your purchase, first let us know. Stop by the shop, call us at 785/456-1779, or e-mail us at whirlingearth.com. Then return the item to us within thirty days of receipt and we will at your choice, replace the item or refund the full price (less shipping).
